![]() Then, you'll configure an element to define its data source and functionality. An element in this context is just a UI component like a graph, table, or divider. You just need to drag and drop elements onto a canvas. Each user will need to have an Airtable account to access an interface ( for now.).īase owners and creators can build interfaces. So instead of needing to click and scroll through tables, views, filters, sorts, and apps, you can create an interface that surfaces just the data a user needs in a clean layout that fits on one screen.Īn Airtable interface lives inside Airtable. Airtable interfaces allow you to build a custom interface on top of your Airtable base to make it easier for different users to work with Airtable data. We'll also walk through a practical use case to give you a sense of the build experience and functionality. We'll explore when to use an interface versus a script or custom Airtable App. In this part 3 of the Complete Developer's Guide to Airtable, we'll dig into Airtable interfaces from a developer's point of view. Read Part 1: Scripts, App SDK, REST API, Sequin →.Which means it is time for a new installment of The Complete Developer's Guide to Airtable. Setup takes just two minutes.Īirtable just launched interfaces. It's like having row-level access to your data in stripe_prod. We sync data from third-party APIs like Airtable and Stripe right to your Postgres database in real-time. I’m just hoping I’m not wrong because using airtable for customer facing order forms would be amazing. We're Sequin and we help developers skip API integrations. I feel like it has to be possible in airtable and I’m hoping someone knows a way to set it up. I’d even manually build it out for now, if I knew of a way to make certain options in a from conditional on which option was chosen above. I know you can make conditional fields and lookup fields, I guess I’m just trying to find a way to combine the two. Then after selecting the correct model, it would show the corresponding price for that vehicle. Then they could select the correct make and the next form field down would only show the models for the selected year and make. I’m just trying to find a way that in the form, the customer could select 1999 and it only show the make of vehicles within that year. I have an excel sheet that I think I can turn into a table in airtable that will house all of the necessary data. So, we want this to be a customer facing form so they wouldn’t be collaborators. I know I can import an excel file, but I’m not sure how to get it to let me make a form that filters based on the excel sheet I import. After it brings up the correct ID for that model, it should show the only price option for that ID. ![]()
